The World of Blogs

I believe that everyone should have a reason why they blog and the article "Why I Blog" by Andrew Sullivan is a good reason for him. It seems like he is caught up in the Blog world and is happy that he is. I personally do not follow any Blogs nor do I read any on a regular or semi-regular basis. The only time I read a blog is if I am looking for people's opinions about something. I usually never read a serious blog because in my mind I still think that serious blogs (meaning on serious issues) should be saved for newspapers.

Another issue with blogs is that of twitter. I personally use twitter more, much more then I use blogs. I believe that this generation of web 2.0 will use twitter more then blogs because it has all the same benefits of a blog without the extra fluff (because of the need to keep entries to a max of 140). Twitter is also convenient in the sense that one website can have everything. I guess blogger.com is a popular blog site, but there is no one stop shop for blogs like there is for twitter.
